For people that are into construction remodeling do-it-yourself home projects and things like that, they know that it is very difficult to have one piece of wood standing in the ground by itself with no supports.

a news report that was widely publicized about 2 to 4 years ago introduced the concept of not using any posts to support the power lines and they introduced the idea of using Underground piping and Underground power lines.
I haven’t heard any of the results of the buried power line project ,although I am pretty sure that the projects have been started in various cities across the country.
For people that live in colder climates and Northern Territories, the concept of burying the power lines would actually be interesting and energy efficient.
The temperatures in the winter can get freezing and the temperature in the winter Underground is a more steady approximately 50° Fahrenheit.
This concept and these projects are something to keep an eye on in the upcoming years and see if that would be a more energy efficient way of transporting energy.
