Two or Three Ladders

Two or Three Ladders post thumbnail image

Ladders are an important tool for many jobs, projects, and household maintenance.  Whether painting, pruning, or fixing something on the gutters or roof; ladders help people climb and get up to where the problem is.

I have used several ladders over the years for both exterior and interior needs.

6 Foot Ladder

For interior, the standard 6 foot flooding stand alone ladder made of aluminum is useful.

It is not very heavy and it has a flip tray to set tools and other things that I am using in the project.

It is useful when painting, installing wallpaper, and other indoor projects.

16 Foot Aluminum Ladder

For exterior, a popular choice is a 16 foot extendable aluminum ladder with hinged base “feet” to keep it from sliding.

The ladder folds or slides together when not being used, it is 8 feet in length when closed.

The 16’ foot ladder can be used for cleaning or clearing gutters that are approx. 8 feet to 12 feet high.

Although, when the height needed gets to be around 12 feet high, a  longer ladder might be needed.

30 Foot Heavy Ladder

For those taller jobs like higher gutters and roof projects, or tree projects and work, a ladder like the 30 foot extendable ladder made of a heavy material works better.

Transporting the 30 foot ladder some times needs a cart, vehicle, pr other wheels to get it to where it needs to go.

Also, two people could walk the ladder to where it needs to be used.

When working with larger trees that are 50 to 70 feet high, appearances can be deceiving.  It might appear that where the branch that needs to be cut could be reached with the 30 foot ladder, although when actually getting the ladder out and leaning it against the tree, some times it is not long enough.

Brief Review

This is a brief review of ladders that can be used for interior or exterior work, projects, jobs, and household fixes.
